Welder

SUMMARY 

Mortenson is currently seeking a Mechanic that will be responsible for the preparation, handling and supplying of materials. Sets up and performs welds of moderate complexity from blueprints and specifications 

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Load and unload equipment and materials
  • Responsible for the preparation, handling and supplying of materials
  • Sets up and performs welds of moderate complexity from blue prints and specifications
  • Assist engineering with prints and documentation design
  • Conducting daily activities according to documented quality system procedures and work instructions
  • Basic problem solving techniques and troubleshooting; as related to welding component parts
  • General cleanup and clearing of debris
  • Lifting up to 50 lbs and walking a minimum of 10 miles a day in various weather conditions
  • All other duties as assigned 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience 
  • Welding Certification (State) (required) 

  • Strong teamwork orientation; detail orientation; strong organizational skills 
  • Active listening skills and effective communication, including an openness to diverse input and feedback 
  • Repetitive hand, arm, leg movements 
  • *Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling: up to 50 lbs.
