The Department of Management and Health Care Administration at Marshall University is seeking an Assistant Professor for a nine-month tenure track appointment in Management with teaching responsibilities at both undergraduate and graduate levels beginning either in January 2027 or August 2027 depending on potential candidate's availability. Salary is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Qualified candidates must possess interest in and/or demonstrated ability to teach face to face and online modalities, above average teaching ability, and quality scholarly research.
The University and College:
The Lewis College of Business is one of ten Colleges at Marshall University, a Carnegie high-research activity institute in Huntington, West Virginia. The College, accredited by AACSB, is currently experiencing rapid growth in its graduate and doctoral programs and recently received a transformative gift from alumnus and Intuit Chairman and former CEO Brad D. Smith. Applicants should possess the willingness to contribute to the University's general education curriculum with its emphasis on a common First Year Seminar and core curriculum courses that enhance students' critical thinking, and the college's support of interdisciplinary programs of study.

Candidates will hold a Ph.D. in Management from an AACSB accredited Business School. ABDs close to completion will also be considered.    
Experience
Qualified candidates must possess interest and/or demonstrated ability to teach face-to-face and online modalities and demonstrate above average teaching ability and quality scholarly research.
Preferred Qualifications
Education
Preference will be given to candidates with academic or professional experience across key management disciplines, including organizational behavior, human resource management, strategic management, or healthcare management
