Mid-Ohio Aviation is seeking a Captain/First Officer to join our Pilot team! This position will report to the Chief Pilot based in Smithville, OH.
POSITION SUMMARY
We are a Part 91 Flight Department operating two G5000 Citation Excel aircraft with a dedicated maintenance team. The right candidate will have the opportunity to play a vital role in a stable flight department which is an essential part of the parent company's long term business plan. Our flight crews enjoy unparalleled owner backing and the benefits of working within a family oriented professional and collaborative group.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  • Serve as Captain or First Officer on company aircraft.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and the Flight Operations Manual.
  • Ensure the safety and comfort of our passengers.
  • Active participation in the Safety Management System.
  • Completion of administrative duties or projects when assigned by the Aviation Department Manager or Chief Pilot.
  • Provide excellent customer service to all company associates and guests.
  • Studies and maintains thorough knowledge of FAA Regulations, Flight Operations Manual, Aircraft Flight Manuals and checklists.
  • Pilots average 300 to 350 flight hours per year.
  • Average of 2 to 4 overnights and 10 to 13 days of flight duty per month.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) - Captain
  • Commercial Pilot - First Officer
  • Captain - 3000 hours total time with 500 hours in multiengine aircraft. Turbine time required
  • First Officer - 1500 hours total time with 100 hours in multiengine aircraft
  • FAA First or Second Class Medical
  • Valid Passport
  • Excellent flying abilities.
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with all team members and company associates.
  • Motivated to be involved with the process of maintaining a great working culture.
  • Initiative and skills to complete collateral duties supporting the flight department.
