Job description

Summary: We call our bartenders “Brewleggers.” All Brewleggers train and work an occasional kitchen shift. Flexible part-time hours starting at $6/hr + team tip pool (most staff average $10-$15/hr in tips = $16-$21/hr on average) and $15/hr for kitchen shifts and training hours. Monthly profit sharing for all staff based on hours worked. Must be able to work weekends and nights.


Books & Brews in Indianapolis, IN is looking for one bartender (we call the position, "Brewlegger") to join our team. We are located on 9402 Uptown Dr #1400, Indianapolis, IN 46256.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare alcohol or non-alcohol beverages
  • Interact with customers, take orders and serve snacks and drinks
  • Assess customers needs and preferences and make recommendations
  • Plan and present bar menu
  • Check customer's identification and confirm it meets legal drinking age
  • Restock and replenish bar inventory and supplies
  • Stay guest focused and nurture an excellent guest experience
  • Comply with all food and beverage regulations


Qualifications

  • No experience required
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
  • Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
