Requirements

OVERVIEW: A Senior AV/VTC Applications Engineer designs, installs, configures, and maintains complex audiovisual and video teleconferencing systems, often for secure government environments. Key duties include upgrading systems, troubleshooting, and acting as a technical subject-matter expert, usually requiring a DoD Security Clearance, 5+ years of experience, and expertise in Crestron/AMX control systems

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • System Engineering & Design: Perform site surveys to evaluate, ย ย ย ย ย design, and document AV/VTC systems, including creating Bills of Materials ย ย ย ย ย (BOMs) and technical diagrams.
  • Installation & Integration: Oversee deployment and ย ย ย ย ย installation of audio/video hardware, including displays, projectors, ย ย ย ย ย microphones, and control systems.
  • VTC Administration: Configure and maintain video ย ย ย ย ย conferencing endpoints and software platforms.
  • Technical Expertise: Act as a subject-matter expert on ย ย ย ย ย AV/VTC controls, signal distribution, and network integration.
  • Perform limited system programming and ย ย ย ย ย configuration to support integrated AV/VTC solutions
  • Troubleshooting & Support: Act as an escalation point to ย ย ย ย ย resolve complex technical issues, often in mission-critical environments.
  • User Training: Train end-users on the proper ย ย ย ย ย operation of AV/VTC equipment
  • Project Management: Direct project activities to ย ย ย ย ย ensure effective installation and integration
  • SME Expertise: Provide technical ย ย ย ย ย consulting and subject-matter expertise on AV/VTC controls, interfaces, ย ย ย ย ย and system functionality
  • Technical Expertise: Design, ย ย ย ย ย installation, and support experience with A/V control systems, displays ย ย ย ย ย and projection systems, audio and sound systems and reinforcements, ย ย ย ย ย amplifiers, scalers, switchers and VTC devices

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Active DoD-sponsored Secret (minimum) or ย Higher
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in ย ย ย ย ย Systems Engineering
  • Strong understanding of AV/VTC system design, ย ย ย ย ย integration, and troubleshooting
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a ย ย ย ย ย technical team in secure environments
