House Autry Mills is currently in search of an energetic experienced Maintenance Technician in our Hogansville location. This position has the primary responsibility for maintaining production and quality by ensuring proper maintenance of production equipment and the facility. Performing assigned preventative inspections, routine facility repair, and production equipment maintenance.

HOURS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION

1st shift – Monday – Thursday 7:00a – 5:30p

Maintenance Duties:

  • Ensures safe, efficient operation of production equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on small engines, electrical motors, conveyor systems, and production machines; ability to comprehend diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and troubleshooting malfunctions.
  • Troubleshoots problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.
  • Removes and replaces defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.
  • Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules, calipers, and other measuring instruments.
  • Adjusts functional parts of devices & control instruments by using appropriate tools.
  • Controls production equipment downtime by performing preventive maintenance.
  • Fabricates repair parts by using maintenance shop instrumentation and equipment.
  • Welding of mild steel and stainless is a plus.
  • Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Installs and repairs electrical apparatus, such as wiring, and electronic components.
  • Assists maintenance reports by collecting and summarizing information.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing technical publications.
  • Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • When working in Gluten Free, knowledge of proper PPE is necessary and use of dedicated tools and equipment only.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Maintenance Qualifications:

  • HS Diploma or GED required Associates degree in related field preferred
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in food manufacturing highly preferred.
  • Industrial Maintenance certification a plus
  • Must have strong electrical experience
  • Proven ability to apply mathematical concepts and excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Able to troubleshoot equipment with High and Low voltage requirements IE: 10vac-480vac / 5vdc-90vdc.
  • Knowledge of mechanical machinery functionality and ability to troubleshoot and make repairs
  • Commitment to learn operational standards and process
  • Able to work with others in a team environment to accomplish tasks and projects.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as electrical schematics, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of electronics; PLCs and Servo motors.
  • Ability to apply excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to manage and complete multiple assigned tasks.
