Job description

Manages the Loss Prevention responsibilities in multiple distribution centers including inventory shrink/gains, investigations and physical security.  Trains DC personnel on proper Loss Prevention procedures and identification of common shrink indicators.  Ensures compliance with Loss Prevention policies and implements operational procedures to eliminate or mitigate shrink possibilities.  Detects and resolves internal theft incidents. Reports, records and follows up on required inventories and audits and facilitates shrink action plans as appropriate. Assists Regional Loss Prevention Managers and District Managers in store investigations and shrink related issues.

  • Direct Reports- 6-12 Security Officers
 
  • Ensures Loss Prevention policies and procedures are implemented and monitored by the Management teams at two DCs. Implements operational procedures intended to eliminate shrink/gain possibilities(controls) and develops solutions with the DC Manager and Director, Supply Chain LP.
  • Reports, records and follows up on required LP audits according to policy. Assist DC Management in the development of action plans immediately following if deficiencies are found.
  • Assists Regional Loss Prevention Managers in store investigations and shrink related issues by providing research on specific store issues like potential delivery variances and returns/recalls crediting variances and guides DC on credit needs as needed.
  • Train DC personnel at both DCs on proper Loss Prevention and physical security procedures and identification of common shrink indicators in normal operating processes.
  • Detects and resolves internal theft and workplace violence incidents through proper investigation and interview process. Reports incidents to the Divisional Investigator, DC manager and Director, Supply Chain LP to resolve and reduce the number of incidents. Involved in determination of corrective actions with DC Management and Human Resources based on investigation facts gathered. 
  • Assist DCs in management of the DC Cycle Count program. Completes required audits of program throughout the year, researches results and develops and facilitates action plans immediately following if issues are found.
  • Security Officer supervision to include physical security training, maintaining proper staffing, time clock management, vacation and time off scheduling, performance appraisal review and performance management.
