Location: San Francisco, CA
Pay: $22.00–$24.00 per hour (based on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time | W2 Contract | Onsite

About the Role

We're hiring reliable, safety-focused Vehicle Drivers to support the development of next-generation autonomous vehicle technology.

In this role, you'll operate company-provided vehicles on designated routes throughout the San Francisco area, collecting real-world driving data that helps improve autonomous vehicle systems. You'll complete vehicle inspections, document observations, and work closely with operations and engineering teams to support daily testing.

Autonomous vehicle experience is required. Candidates with experience driving for Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Amazon, shuttle services, delivery services, courier companies, taxi services, or other professional driving roles are encouraged to apply.

Available Shifts

  • AM: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM (Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday)
  • PM: 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM (Sunday–Thursday or Tuesday–Saturday)
  • Training: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM for the first two days

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate company-owned vehicles on assigned routes.
  • Follow all traffic laws, company procedures, and safety protocols.
  • Drive for extended periods while maintaining focus and situational awareness.
  • Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
  • Use company-provided mobile devices and applications to support data collection.
  • Document route information, observations, and any issues encountered during driving sessions.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and readiness.
  • Communicate effectively with operations and support teams.
  • Represent the company professionally while operating vehicles in public.

Qualifications

  • Valid U.S. driver's license held for at least 4 years.
  • Clean driving record with no more than one violation point.
  • Comfortable driving in city, suburban, and highway environments.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
  • Basic smartphone and computer skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to follow standardized procedures and detailed instructions.
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to pass a background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle record review.
  • Prefer candidates interested in PM shifts 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional driving experience with Uber, Lyft, DoorDash, Amazon, courier, shuttle, taxi, delivery, or commercial driving.
  • Interest in autonomous vehicles, robotics, or emerging transportation technology.
