Job description

Summary: Highly motivated and experienced Operations Manager leading our warehouse operations, customer service, and EHSS functions. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in managing and improving operational efficiency, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring compliance with all safety and environmental regulations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Warehouse:
    1. Oversee all aspects of warehouse operations, including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping.
    2. Manage inventory organization and ensure that products are shipped accurately and on time.
    3. Own warehouse KPIs and ensure regular rhythms for cycle counting, obsoletion, min/max updates, and 5S optimization.
    4. Supervise and cross train warehouse staff.
    5. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
       
  • Customer Service:
    1. Ensure excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
    2. Manage the customer service team and ensure that customer inquiries are resolved promptly and efficiently.
    3. Own Customer Service KPIs and Root Cause Analysis process to ensure issue remediation and no repeat failures.
    4. Streamline processes related to fulfillment, quality approvals, regulatory, and landed costs.
    5. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
       
  • EHSS:
    1. Owner of general environmental, health, safety, and security (EHSS) performance of the Fairfield, NJ location
    2. Perform safety audits to verify performance and identify safety hazards.
    3. Lead lean exercises to ensure warehouse, sample, blending, and repacking areas are efficient and organized.
    4. Owner of location security systems & processes
    5. Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics or related field from a four-year college or university.
  • Certification in Supply Chain and Operations Management
  • Computer skills required: NetSuite, MS Office, RF Smart and Zebra. 
  • Minimum five years of experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity, with a strong preference for experience in warehouse operations, customer service, and Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies. Exceptional leadership and interpersonal competencies. Proven capacity to operate both autonomously and collaboratively within a team environment.
