  • Own supplier selection, onboarding, and performance management
  • Implement and maintain supplier scorecards
  • Lead supplier development efforts to improve reliability and reduce risk
  • Identify and mitigate single-source and long-lead risks

Procurement & Cost Control
  • Own full PO lifecycle (RFQs, negotiation, placement, tracking, closure)
  • Negotiate supplier agreements and major purchases
  • Drive cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality or reliability
  • Partner with Engineering on should-cost analysis
  • Maintain visibility into spend and cost drivers

Inventory & Material Flow
  • Establish inventory strategy (safety stock, reorder points, min/max)
  • Improve inventory accuracy and control processes
  • Ensure material availability without excess inventory exposure
  • Reduce excess, obsolete, and dead inventory
  • Oversee inbound logistics and material flow

Cross-Functional Execution
  • Partner with Engineering on BOM readiness, ECO/ECR changes, and NPI transitions
  • Partner with Operations on build planning and material readiness
  • Define and manage service parts and spares strategy
  • Support CM strategy and scaling plans

Team Leadership
  • Manage and develop supply chain team
  • Set clear ownership and priorities
  • Ensure team execution aligns with production goals

ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, JOB SKILLS
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or operations in a hardware environment
  • 2+ years of people management experience
  • Experience managing suppliers and procurement processes
  • Strong understanding of BOMs, lead times, and material planning
  • Demonstrated ability to operate under ambiguity
  • Comfortable in a hands-on environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in robotics, automotive, aerospace, or electromechanical systems
  • Experience supporting production ramp or scaling hardware operations
  • Experience with contract manufacturers (CMs)
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP or equivalent)
