We have an opening on the shock design team in Boonville, Indiana focusing on aftermarket motorcycle products.  Join our dynamic team, collaborate with cross-functional experts, and play a pivotal role in revolutionizing the motorsports and automotive industry. 


 Key Responsibilities:
 

  • Lead the design and development of cutting-edge products for our renowned brand, including motorcycle and UTV applications. 
  • Take an active role in collaborating with our talented team of engineers, technicians, and production staff to bring innovative solutions to life. 
  • Stay at the forefront of the industry by researching and implementing new materials, technologies, and manufacturing processes. 
  • Create and maintain technical documentation to ensure the highest quality standards are met. 
  • Provide exceptional technical support to both customers and internal teams whenever needed. 


 

Qualifications:
 

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. 
  • Possess a minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in component and mechanical system design & development, preferably in motorsports, motorcycle, or automotive industries. 
  • Possess a motorcycle license, along with significant riding experience. 
  • Experience with fabrication equipment, parts installs on motorcycles, creating proto-type parts with lathes and mills. 
  • Demonstrate proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CREO) and showcase knowledge of CNC machining processes and material science (a plus). 
  • Working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing principles. 
  • Excel in communication and collaboration, thriving in a team environment where your contributions are valued and acknowledged. 
  • Exhibit strong problem-solving and analytical skills, combined with a creative and innovative mindset. 
  • Ability to occasionally travel to Legend Suspensions’ plant in Sturgis, South Dakota. 
  • As a requirement for this position, all applicants must be eligible to work in the United States. Candidates must possess proper work authorization documentation in compliance with applicable federal laws. Please note that sponsorship for employment visa status is not available for this position.
