About the Position:

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Canton team, reporting directly to the production manager with a dotted line to engineering.

This position is based at our office in Canton, MS.
ย 

As the manufacturing engineer at Marelli, you will be responsible/support/elevate.....

Your Responsibilities will be:
  • Develop new manufacturing processes to support new product launch activities
  • Develop essential line documents (routers, work instructions, other documentation) to support processes.
  • Negotiate with suppliers for new tooling and equipment purchases.
  • Report preparation, meetings and general paperwork (TPDS, Process Plan Sheets, Rework Procedures, etc...).
  • New business quotes - including project information request responses (this is all equipment, tooling, manning, and standard time needed for new business)
  • Manufacturing process planning - creating engineering technical standards and process failure mode analysis for each new product line.
  • Manufacturing process trial and improvements - creating and implementing problem/cause/countermeasure strategy and evaluating defects.
  • QS documentation and 5S condition - including completing run at rate forms, fixed asset transfer forms, equipment run off check sheets, etc.
  • Manufacturing Production Line Support (Equipment, quality, efficiency, maintenance, etc.) and technical guidance.
  • Equipment/Product Improvement (Standard Time, Quality, Error Proof)
  • Work outside FEM cover needs for Quality concerning Exhaust parts
  • Make sure all machinery is safe. Conduct Kaizen activities, improving quality and efficiency, Write and Update SOS and assist with GKD support.
What Qualifications you will bring:
    • Have a Bachelor's Degree in a related field and two to five years experience in related field

    -or-

    • A Master's Degree and generally two to four years experience in related field.
    • Certification is required in some areas.
    • Have experience working with integrated computer programs and/or applications.
    • Have strong communication, administrative and organizational skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple projects and programs.
    • Be able to pass all background checks and pre-employment tests, including any required drug test.
    • Be able to maintain the confidentiality of any information s/he encounters.
    • Reasonable accommodations may be made to those who are able to perform the essential duties of the job

Intermediate to advanced experience (beyond basic data entry) working with computer applications such as Word, Excel, Lotus Notes, PowerPoint, and other presentation applications and/or software.
