Diesel Repair Shop Helper | Richmond, VA


Sweetie Boy Transportation is a growing vehicle logistics and transportation company based in Richmond, VA. We're looking for a hard-working, dependable Shop Helper with an interest in diesel mechanics to support our shop staff. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, staying busy, and being part of a team-oriented environment. No advanced mechanical experience required.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of our shop and lot.
  • Assist with cleaning trucks, parts, and work areas.
  • Apply slip plate and assist with basic surface preparation.
  • Pick up and deliver parts and supplies from vendors.
  • Dispose of waste, fluids, and scrap materials properly.
  • Assist technicians with simple shop tasks as needed.
  • Follow safety procedures and shop policies at all times.
Qualifications
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
  • Basic hand tool knowledge preferred but not required.
  • Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
