Director, B2B Communications (Mobility Business Solutions)

S&P Globalhas recentlyannounced the intent to separate our Mobility Segment into a standalone public company.

The Director, B2B Communications is a strategically minded communications leader reporting to the Global Head of Communications. This individual owns the communications strategy that drives Mobility Global's presence, credibility, and narrative within its Business Planning Solutions division. This is not a role for order-takers, it's for a confident communicator who understands that in Business Planning Solutions, trust is the ultimate differentiator and every touchpoint is a chance to earn it.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Business Planning Solutions communications strategy that strengthens relationships with key business audiences including clients, prospects, partners, industry influencers and internal team members.
  • Responsible for the narrative, reputation, and trust. Accurately communicate what the company stands for with message integrity and consistency across stakeholders.
  • Own the executive positioning by creating executive talking points, speeches, panels, bylines (often in coordination with Marketing for campaign alignment)
  • Support internal communications by crafting employee messaging, change communications, leader toolkits, town halls, Q&A.
  • Manage media relationships, editorial vendors, and content partners to scale Business Planning Solutions communications output with efficiency and quality.
  • Create earned influence by managing media relations, issues/crisis, spokesperson strategy, and providing reactive + proactive PR support.
  • Track and report on communications KPIs tied to business outcomes, including share of voice, media reach, content engagement, and pipeline influence.
  • Field inbound media inquiries and manage those to successful public relations coverage.
  • Craft informative press releases and articles, manage consumer testimonials, and facilitate content distribution among various audiences.
  • Manage PR/journalist relations(often shared): ensuring accurate understanding of strategy/story and consistent briefings, likely collaboratingwith marketing
  • Develop and manage communications governance: approvals for external statements, escalation paths, messaging guardrails.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Business, or a related field required; advanced degree a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in B2B communications, or corporate communications, with a demonstrated track record of driving business impact through communications strategy.
  • Deep understanding of the B2B buyer journey and how communications strategy influences awareness, consideration, and decision-making at the enterprise level.
  • Proven experience in trade media relations, industry analyst relations, and B2B content development.
  • Strong writing and messaging skills with the ability to translate complex solutions and value propositions into clear, compelling narratives for business audiences.
  • Highly collaborative with the ability to manage multiple stakeholders and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with communications tools including media monitoring platforms, and content management platforms.
