Job description

Our dealer parts associate will act as the primary contact between our parts department and customers (retail, wholesale, and service technicians), ensuring accurate identification, ordering, and delivery of parts. That same associate will maintain inventory records, assist with inventory management, and provide technical support to boost sales. Key skills include using electronic catalogs, communication, and basic automotive knowledge. We will train the right individual. Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service & Sales: Assisting technicians, retail customers, and wholesale accounts in sourcing parts, providing price quotes, and recommending companion parts to boost sales.
  • Order Fulfillment: Locating parts, pulling orders from stock, and processing special orders for items not currently in inventory.
  • Inventory Control: Assisting with daily inventory replenishment, organizing stock, and recording "lost sales" to optimize inventory levels.
  • Documentation & Billing: Creating accurate invoices, processing payments, handling returns, and updating repair orders.
  • Technical Support: Using computer software and electronic parts catalogs to accurately identify parts.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: Previous automotive parts experience is preferred, but not required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency with computer systems (parts catalog software) is essential.
  • Physical Demands: Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25–50 lbs.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to interact with customers and technicians.
  • License: A valid driver's license is required. 
Common Tasks:
  • Supplying service technicians with parts quickly to minimize repair delays.
  • Handling shipping/receiving and verifying incoming inventory.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe parts department area.
