About the Position

New Era Automotive is looking for a professional, motivated Automotive Technician to join our growing team. Youโ€™ll diagnose, repair, and inspect vehicles using modern tools, digital vehicle inspections, and shop software. If you have a โ€œnever give upโ€ approach and are committed to solving problems the right way, we want to hear from you.
Key Qualities Weโ€™re Looking For

  • Proficient reading & writing skills for repair notes, documentation, and communication
  • Tech-savvy and comfortable with tablets, shop software, and Digital Vehicle Inspections (DVIs)

  • Scan tool experience with the ability to diagnose and verify repairs
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform repairs across multiple systems
  • Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to quality repair work
  • Professional attitude and strong customer-service mindset
Responsibilities

  • Use diagnostic tools and expertise to evaluate malfunction codes and vehicle concerns
  • Perform DVIs with accurate notes, photos, and findings
  • Carry out routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake service, and wheel alignments
  • Conduct complete inspections of all major systems including engine, transmission, suspension, electrical, and brakes
  • Perform repairs on a wide range of systems, including:

    • Air Conditioning (A/C) systems

    • Engine R&R (Remove & Replace)

    • Transmission repair and R&R

    • Advanced diagnostics and drivability repairs

  • Communicate findings and repair needs clearly with service advisors
  • Maintain technical documentation and assist with improving shop procedures
  • Deliver excellent customer satisfaction and support repeat business
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and safe
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Associate degree or completion of an automotive training program preferred
  • ASE or SAE certifications preferred
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with modern diagnostics, tools, and repair systems
