Overview
Summary/objective
The One Guard Inspector is responsible for inspecting automobiles for mechanical failures of all types and completing a detailed report of the findings of inspections.
Essential functions

• Perform assigned automobile inspections for mechanical failures of all types including but not limited to engine, transmission, suspension and electrical
• While the repair facility technician performs a demonstration of the diagnosis, clearly document the findings or results of the inspection
• Provide detailed written reports through One Guard's online portal which include factual information and photo/video evidence
• Contact repair facilities to set appointments for inspections and notify One Guard of the appointment time
• Depending on the nature of the inspection, submit fluid sample to Blackstone Laboratories for further analysis

Minimum Qualifications:
At least three (3) years of car dealership experience OR experience in an aftermarket repair facility as an Automotive Technician.
Proficient in identification & description of failures to engines, transmissions and other various mechanical components.
General knowledge of website navigation and ability to compose a comprehensive written report of vehicle inspections.
Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, coupled with excellent listening skills and a positive and energetic presence.
Basic computer skills.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast- paced environment.
Must have their own vehicle for transportation.
Must have hi-def digital camera to take photos. Modern smart phones are acceptable.
Must have computer and internet to upload photos and reports.
Must have automobile failure experience and ability to describe failures to engines, transmissions and other various mechanical components.
Ability to identify a failure demonstrated and document it using our secure online portal.
Preferred Qualifications:
Automotive warranty claims adjuster and/or service advising experience is considered a plus.
Self-motivated, high energy, a customer-focused perspective and posses high attention to detail.
In depth understanding of automotive industry and various manufacturer acronyms and lingo.
ASEs, and/or Factory/trade school certifications is considered a plus.
Supervisory responsibilities
This role has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work environment
This job operates inside an automotive repair shop environments that may be cold, hot, noisy, and wet and may have fumes or odors due to vehicle maintenance.
Physical demands
Requires standing for extended period of time with frequent stretching, reaching, walking and stooping, pushing and/or pulling. Requires the ability to lift up to 40lbs. Requires excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity. Requires use of safety equipment that may include but not limited to face shield or goggles, non-slip shoes, gloves, mask, and other protective garments and equipment. Requires frequent driving and visual acuity to operate motor vehicles.
Travel required
This position is remote based but entails traveling to automotive repair facilities and inspecting automobiles for mechanical failures of all types including but not limited to engine, transmission, suspension and electrical.
