Job description

The Development Lead (DL) will be responsible for the development of the Power and Signal distribution for NAFTA vehicle applications. The role includes the coordination and implementation of design best practices for wiring systems and the candidate will be responsible to coordinate the activities of internal engineering resources as well as supplier resources to design and develop all wiring harnesses in the vehicles. The DL will also be responsible for best practices as they apply to the electrical systems and areas of the vehicle to provide consistently high quality designs across platforms within the electrical system.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials/Chemical/Civil/ Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited university
  • 8 years of experience in automotive electrical engineering
  • 5 years of experience in electrical systems
  • Good understanding of vehicle packaging
  • Knowledgeable in EBOM, Teamcenter and NX
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to manage complex business situations
  • Team leadership skills
  • Automotive system level experience

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master of Science in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university
  • DFSS Green Belt certification
