Automotive Detailer – Acura of Highland Park

Acura of Highland Park, part of the Murgado Automotive Group, is hiring an Automotive Detailer to help keep our new and pre-owned vehicles clean, polished, and ready for customers. This is a great opportunity for someone who takes pride in hands-on work, has strong attention to detail, and enjoys working around vehicles in a fast-paced dealership environment.

Job Details:

Location: Libertyville, IL \u007C Job Type: Full-time \u007C Pay: Competitive hourly wage based on experience, plus performance incentives

As an Automotive Detailer, you will clean and recondition vehicle interiors and exteriors to dealership standards. You will wash, vacuum, polish, inspect, and prepare vehicles so every customer receives a clean, professional, showroom-ready experience.

What You’ll Do:

Wash, dry, vacuum, and detail vehicle interiors and exteriors.

Buff, wax, polish, and apply protective finishes as needed.

Clean windows, mirrors, wheels, tires, carpets, seats, upholstery, and other vehicle surfaces.

Inspect completed work to ensure vehicles meet dealership quality standards.

Identify and report vehicle damage or needed repairs to the service team.

Safely move vehicles around the dealership lot and service areas when needed.

Maintain a clean, organized detailing area and properly care for tools, products, and equipment.

Work as part of a team to keep vehicles ready for sales, service, and customer delivery.

What We’re Looking For:

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Automotive detailing, car wash, lot attendant, porter, or related experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person.

Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work.

Ability to work independently and with a team in a busy dealership environment.

Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.

Ability to safely operate cleaning tools, detailing equipment, and dealership vehicles.

Reliable attendance, good time management, and a positive attitude.
