Familiarity with specialized cleaning equipment, buffers, steam cleaners, and automotive cleaning products is typically required. What is an automotive detailer?

An Automotive Detailer is a professional responsible for cleaning, restoring, and finishing the interior and exterior of vehicles to meet company or client specifications. This job involves washing, waxing, vacuuming, polishing, and sometimes minor cosmetic touch-ups to make vehicles look showroom-ready. Detailers use specialized tools and cleaning products to remove dirt, stains, and imperfections. They may also apply protective treatments to paint, glass, and upholstery. Automotive detailers work at car dealerships, car washes, detailing shops, or as part of mobile detailing services.
