Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Automotive Inventory Clerk to join our growing automotive dealership team. The automotive inventory clerk is responsible for maintaining stocks in all new cars and maintaining dealer trades and reconciliation for physical inventories and schedule clean up. This position plays a critical role in supporting the accounting department and maintaining accurate vehicle inventory records. The ideal candidate is highly organized, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced dealership environment.


Key Responsibilities:

Process and post vehicle inventory transactions accurately in the dealership management system (Reynolds and Reynolds)

Maintain and reconcile new and used vehicle inventory schedules

Verify vehicle purchase paperwork and ensure accuracy of pricing, VINs, and documentation

Assist with floorplan reconciliations

Work with the dealerships to resolve inventory or documentation discrepancies

Maintain organized digital and physical records of vehicle transactions

Assist with month-end closing tasks and inventory audits


Qualifications:

High-volume automotive dealership inventory data entry experience required

Must have some accounting knowledge

Familiarity with dealership management systems (such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, etc.) is a plus

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

Strong organizational and communication skills

Proficiency in basic accounting principles
