Job Description

Required Qualifications

Technical Knowledge & Experience

  • Working knowledge of Joint Publication (JP) 5-0.
  • Knowledge of Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) principles and methodologies.
  • Understanding of:
    • Local Area Networks (LANs)
    • Campus Area Networks (CANs)
    • Wide Area Networks (WANs)
    • Cloud computing environments
    • Data centers
    • Server infrastructure
    • Enterprise communications systems
  • Experience identifying, analyzing, and resolving system and network issues.
  • Knowledge of common DoD services, devices, applications, and security processes used to protect data and communication pathways.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) technologies.

Architecture & Strategic Planning

  • Ability to provide strategic recommendations for:
    • Computer system operational design
    • System architecture and engineering
    • Technical documentation
    • Proposal reviews
  • Experience identifying communication service requirements and developing:
    • System architectures
    • Technical designs
    • Integration plans
    • Implementation plans
  • Ability to support both legacy and future-state systems while ensuring alignment with DCDC leadership objectives and vision.

Communication & Documentation

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experience developing and presenting products for:
    • General Officers
    • Senior Executives
    • Senior Decision Makers
  • Experience writing, reviewing, and editing:
    • Technical documentation
    • Concepts of Operations (CONOPS)
    • Training plans
    • Strategic reports and briefings

Additional Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with limited supervision.
  • Experience supporting multiple large-scale IT systems and enterprise environments.
  • Working knowledge of:
    • Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)
    • ITIL 4 Foundation principles

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
