What you’ll be doing
  • Define, lead, and own the security architecture for the autonomous driving platform, including the perception stack, sensor fusion, localization, and path planning systems.
  • Architect robust security controls for safety-critical components, such as high-performance compute, sensor arrays, and fail-operational systems.
  • Lead comprehensive threat modeling (STRIDE, TARA) on autonomous driving systems, addressing complex attack vectors like GPS spoofing, sensor blinding, and adversarial machine learning.
  • Design and own the secure architecture for vehicle-to-cloud communication, over-the-air (OTA) updates, and high-volume data telemetry using AWS services.
  • Provide technical oversight and direction for Managed Security Service Providers (MSSPs), defining monitoring requirements and validating service effectiveness.
  • Develop and enforce security requirements based on industry standards (ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE WP.29 R155) for engineering teams.
  • Serve as the lead technical authority on security for AI/ML, robotics, hardware, and systems engineering teams.
What we’re looking for
  • 8+ years of experience in product security, with at least 3 years focused on autonomous systems, robotics, automotive, or safety-critical embedded systems.
  • Demonstrated experience securing autonomous driving domains, such as perception, sensor fusion, localization, or motion planning.
  • Experience designing and securing AWS cloud infrastructure, including services like AWS IoT Core, SageMaker, KMS, and VPC.
  • Knowledge of automotive architectures (ECU, CAN bus, Automotive Ethernet, AUTOSAR).
  • Expertise in applied cryptography, identity and access management, secure boot processes, and secure development lifecycles (SDL).
  • Hands‑on experience with regulated cybersecurity standards, ideally automotive-related (ISO/SAE 21434).
Bonus Points (not required)
  • Experience with hardware-backed security (HSMs, TPMs, TrustZone).
  • Familiarity with functional safety standards (ISO 26262).
  • Experience managing or providing technical oversight for third‑party security vendors or MSSPs.
  • Background in vulnerability research or penetration testing for ML/AI systems.
  • Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CSEP, GICSP, AWS Certified Security – Specialty).
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
