Hardy Family Ford is looking for an Automotive Trim and Electrical Finish Service Technician to join our growing team! 
The right candidate will have a strong automotive electrical wiring and general service technician background, with ASE & Ford certifications preferred but not required. The day-to-day duties include performing work on specific repair orders and diagnosing what repairs need to be done for interior trim and electrical features.

Automotive Technician Responsibilities:

  • Remove and reinstall vehicle interiors while maintaining OEM standards
  • Install 12V systems, wiring, and electrical components such as radios, lights, mounts, and mobile computers
  • Read and apply basic wiring diagrams and installation guides
  • Drill, crimp, route, and secure electrical connections as required by the project scope
  • Ensure quality and accuracy of each installation and verify project components
  • Coordinate with internal team to meet client specifications and timelines
  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership and manufacturer specifications
  • Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment

Automotive Technician Qualifications:

  • Automotive wiring and general automotive technician experience required
  • Hands-on experience with electrical systems or mechanical installation
  • Basic understanding of 12V automotive circuits
  • High school diploma or equivalent, ASE Certification a plus
  • Ford Certification a plus
  • Previous experience at a Ford dealership is preferred
  • Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
  • Excellent customer service skills and basic computer competencies
  • Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic environment
  • Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively
  • Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
