Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Body Shop Estimator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for evaluating vehicle damage, preparing repair estimates, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective communication and service. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in auto estimating, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assess vehicle damage and determine necessary repairs by conducting thorough inspections.
  • Prepare accurate and detailed repair estimates using industry-standard software and tools.
  • Collaborate with technicians to understand repair processes and timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding repair options, costs, and timelines.
  • Provide exceptional customer service throughout the repair process, addressing any concerns or questions.
  • Maintain accurate records of estimates, repairs, and customer interactions.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies within the shop environment.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to automotive repair.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in auto service management or a similar role within the automotive industry.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with an understanding of automotive repair processes, including shocks struts and air brake systems.
  • Proficiency in auto estimating software (CCC1 preferred) and tools for preparing detailed repair estimates.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
  • Experience in cash handling and managing transactions related to repairs.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
