Job description

Job Title: Assembly TechnicianJob Description

This role focuses on upfitting police, fire, and EMS fleet vehicles by carefully disassembling factory components and rebuilding them with specialized tactical and emergency equipment. You will work on an assembly line in a clean, climate-controlled facility, using hand and power tools to install mechanical and electrical systems that meet strict safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities
  • Disassemble vehicles by removing factory interior panels, seats, exterior parts, and trim without causing damage.
  • Build and install emergency consoles, push bumpers, partitions, and weapons racks according to specifications.
  • Perform electrical upfitting by integrating 12V electrical systems, including lightbars, sirens, radios, antennas, and camera systems.
  • Read and interpret custom build sheets, blueprints, schematics, and mechanical technical specifications to guide assembly work.
  • Route, crimp, and secure custom wiring harnesses cleanly while ensuring safety and compliance with electrical standards.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing gear to perform mechanical and electrical assembly tasks.
  • Measure and align components accurately using a tape measure and other measurement tools to ensure precise fit and finish.
  • Follow established assembly line processes and production procedures to meet quality and productivity goals.
  • Conduct basic soldering work as needed for electrical connections and repairs.
  • Maintain an organized work area, care for assigned tools and equipment, and follow all workplace safety guidelines.
Essential Skills
  • Proven ability to perform mechanical or electrical assembly work in a production or assembly line environment.
  • Competency using standard hand tools and power tools for automotive or mechanical tasks.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and custom build sheets.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
