An automotive warehouse parts clerk is responsible for managing the inventory of automotive parts, assisting customers with their needs, and processing transactions. They must have strong organizational and communication skills, as well as technical knowledge of automotive parts and systems

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Receive and process orders for automotive parts
  • Check inventory levels by performing BIN Counts daily and order parts as needed
  • Assist customers in finding and purchasing the correct parts
  • Keep accurate and organized records of all transactions
  • Handle returns and exchanges of parts
  • Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a clean and organized parts department
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions and providing product information
  • Stay up to date on new automotive technologies and products
  • Drive delivery vehicle to deliver orders as per company procedures, in accordance with company policy regarding driver safety and qualifications.
  • Other duties as assigned.



Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in inventory management or parts control, ideally within a OEM automotive dealership is preferred but not required.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in tracking, managing, and documenting inventory.
  • Strong organizational abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in using inventory management software and other modern technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external vendors

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or listen. The employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds at times.
  • Occasional lifting, standing, crawling, reaching, use of stairs.
