Job Purpose

As a Senior Interior Engineer, you will be joining a highly motivated team of automotive engineers dedicated to bringing quality products to market on time, within budget and with exceptional quality.

Responsibilities
  • Engineer, develop and execute interior systems that comply with ECE / FMVSS regulations.
  • Work through the product cycle with technical input early in development by collaborating with design / styling and Engineering teams
  • Participate in the iterative process with all stakeholders to deliver the optimal balance of form, function, performance, and cost.
  • Implement processes and material selections to achieve cutting edge interiors.
  • Complete and release interior components, sub-system, and detail designs, utilizing a mix of in-house design and supplier engineering where required. Complete engineering change request and appropriate documentation (including drawings).
  • Collaborate with key interior system and plastic component suppliers and support overall vehicle development milestones and prototype/production build events
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Manufacturing Engineering and Procurement groups to ensure interior system manufacturing and assembly feasibility and serviceability
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's of Science in an engineering discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in automotive engineering
  • 3+ years of first-hand interior experience.
  • Experience with Catia 3DX.
Travel Requirements
  • Some travel may be required.

While performing the duties of this job, employees may be required to sit for prolonged periods of time, occasionally bending or stooping, lifting up to 10 pounds, and prolonged periods of computer use.
