Key Responsibilities

  • Own overall technical accountability for the MCI coach platform throughout its lifecycle.
  • Own and communicate the technical vision for the coach platform, ensuring alignment with customer expectations, market requirements, and long-term product strategy.
  • Define and maintain product architecture, performance targets, and system integration strategies.
  • Lead alignment across New Product Development, Production Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering Business Systems, and other supporting functions.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer within Engineering and act as the final engineering authority on major product-level technical tradeoffs and architecture decisions.
  • Drive critical decisions involving customer value, cost, quality, reliability, manufacturability, maintainability, performance, and schedule.
  • Lead resolution of complex engineering challenges, product-level issues, and technical risks across the platform.
  • Guide product evolution, major design changes, and future technology adoption.
  • Partner with Supply Chain to align supplier strategies, technology choices, and sourcing decisions with long-term product architecture and customer requirements.
  • Represent MCI as the senior technical leader for the coach platform with customers, suppliers, industry associations, regulatory organizations, and key stakeholders.

Requirements
