Weekend Support
Job Overview
For nearly 80 years Rice Lake Weighing Systems has been a successful, growth-oriented company known as a leader in the weighing industry and our community. As a Weekend Support associate, you'll be in a fast-paced, well organized, and diverse customer service role. This position offers opportunities to learn multiple areas of the business including directing customer calls, trouble-shooting service questions, providing information to national accounts, conducting inventory counts, shipping customer products and monitoring automated manufacturing processes.
Duties & Responsibilities
Customer Service responsibilities:
  • Answers inbound customer calls and directs calls to appropriate departments & contacts as a phone receptionist.
  • On Saturday & Sunday, answers inbound customer national service calls and dispatch dealers for service.
  • Process sales orders that need to be shipped, including picking, packing, manifesting and delivery to the appropriate carrier.

Inventory Management:
  • Performs the following:
    • Cycle counts,
    • Records weight and dimensioning of products in warehouse.
    • Kitting of parts for upstream production purposes
    • Picks and Packs orders that may be shipping the following business day

Production Monitoring:
  • Periodically monitors any shop automation ensuring lights out production continues to run, including swapping parts and/or pallets of parts in shop automation that requires them.
  • Light assembly of products required for the next week.

Data Entry:
  • Performs data entry in systems as directed

  • Safety: Our corporate office is also our main manufacturing facility. You will find yourself in the manufacturing facility from time to time, so we provide the personal protective equipment you would need.
