Job description

MECHANICAL WORKER
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a Mechanical Worker for a company based in Calera, AL. In this role, you will have the opportunity to turn your mechanical skills into a rewarding career with steady work, growth opportunities, and a team that values what you do.
Pay Rate
$18.00 to $21.00 per hour

Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 6 00 am to 4 30 pm.

Mechanical Worker Duties and Responsibilities

  • Mig and Tig weld on railway cars, performing structural and repair welds as needed.
  • Mechanical tasks such as, changing wheels and brake shoes.
  • Operating equipment such as torches, cutting tools and grinders.
  • Working in a non-climate-controlled environment
Mechanical Worker Qualifications and Requirements

  • Must be able to read a tape measure to a 16th of an inch.
  • Must have strength and stamina to lift materials up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to pass a visible weld test
  • Must have steel toe boots
