Job description

Service Technician Position Summary

OPEX Corporation is currently looking for a full time, onsite Field Service Technician who will be responsible for preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of Warehouse Automation equipment. We look for individuals who are mechanically inclined with a strong background in electronics and some software. OPEX is looking for individuals who enjoy and can thrive in a fast-paced environment that involves servicing & maintaining robotic technology based equipment. 

Service Technician Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assisting with the day to day maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of warehouse automation equipment
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues by working directly with vendors and evaluating system performance
  • Installing and setting up new equipment
  • Keeping the vendor informed as repairs are made and answer any question that may arise.
  • Interact with management as well as other personnel to analyze and correct any equipment performance issues
  • Completing daily field service reports and submitting weekly online timecards and expense report other duties as assigned  

Service Technician Qualifications

  • Electrical and mechanical aptitude is required, with the ability to troubleshoot electrical, computer and software systems preferred.
  • PC Competency, Word & Excel and Windows OS
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
  • Possessing a driver's license, insurance and a reliable vehicle
  • Ability to maneuver a job site, including tight spaces in and around our equipment.
  • Ability to travel and work overtime when necessary

Service Technician Physical/Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a warehouse/production environment
  • Must have the ability to lift heavy machine parts while on duty
  • Squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching overhead, reaching forward will occur while on the job

Hourly Rate:

  • $28-30/hr, depending on experience
