Overview

Our client is seeking a RHEL Automation Engineer to support their RTSS and Backhaul/Mesh Operations. The successful candidate will focus on the engineering and support of large-scale enterprise Linux environments, specifically working with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) versions 8 and 9. This role is vital for driving automation and maintaining system integrity within a fast-paced, metrics-centric environment.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer and support large enterprise-level Linux environments to ensure stability and performance.
  • Utilize Ansible and Bash scripting to automate routine tasks and streamline operational workflows.
  • Manage RHEL and RPM-based systems, focusing on modern versions to meet technical standards.
  • Collaborate within a team-oriented environment to meet evolving project requirements.
  • Document and track work within industry-standard tools such as JIRA, ServiceNow, and AssurX.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree or equivalent years of relevant experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in an enterprise environment focusing on Linux and automation.
  • Proficiency in RHEL Engineering, specifically with Red Hat (Version 7, 8 and 9) and Oracle.
  • Hands-on experience with Ansible, Automation, and Bash scripting.
