Job description

We are seeking a Glassbox Engineer with strong experience in Windows/Linux dedicated compute environments, scripting, application hosting, monitoring tools, and infrastructure troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Linux administration, automation scripting, deployment tools, and application performance monitoring solutions to support enterprise environments.

Required Technical/Functional Skills
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, application support, or related technical roles.
  • Strong experience with Windows/Linux Dedicated Compute environments.
  • Hands-on experience with Java application hosting on Linux.
  • Strong scripting skills using Shell Script, JavaScript, Python, Perl, and BladeLogic NSH.
  • Experience with Glassbox monitoring platform and other monitoring tools such as Tealeaf, Splunk, or SiteScope.
  • Experience with automation and deployment tools such as BladeLogic, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Chef, and AutoSys.
  • Strong understanding of server certificates, TLS implementation, and connectivity troubleshooting.
  • Experience supporting secure, multi-data center environments.
  • Working knowledge of regular expressions.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Perform Linux system administration and support application hosting environments.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts using Shell, Python, Perl, JavaScript, and BladeLogic NSH.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot application performance using Glassbox and other monitoring tools.
  • Support Java-based applications hosted on Linux environments.
  • Troubleshoot server certificates, TLS issues, and application connectivity problems.
  • Manage and support deployment activities using automation and configuration management tools.
  • Perform network troubleshooting using tools such as Ping, nslookup, traceroute, and curl.
  • Collaborate with system administrators, network engineers, application teams, and end users to resolve technical issues.
  • Support secure enterprise environments with basic understanding of firewall rules and network configurations.
  • Analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
  • Work independently, manage priorities, and deliver solutions with minimal supervision.
  • Contribute innovative ideas and improvements to infrastructure and application support processes.
