Job description

Are you a hands-on problem solver with experience—or interest—in maintaining and repairing industrial equipment? Hearth & Home Technologies, North America’s leading manufacturer of hearth products, is seeking a Maintenance Technician.
 
This role is open to technicians with varying levels of experience. Responsibilities and pay will align with demonstrated skills, technical knowledge, and ability to work independently.
 
Location: Lake City, MN
Pay Range: $27.22/hr – $40.66/hr *based on experience and skill level
*Final compensation will be based on experience, skill set, and qualifications. The posted pay range reflects the anticipated range for this position under current organizational budget and market conditions. 

Scheduled Shift
  • Rotation: 3 days on 2 days off and 2 days on 3 days off
  • 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM
  • Every other weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
What You’ll Do 
  • Troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining industrial machinery and facility systems
  • Performing scheduled and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and minimize downtime
  • Assisting with equipment builds, modifications, and installations
  • Maintaining accurate maintenance records and documentation
  • Tracking repairs and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Collaborating with production, engineering, and fellow maintenance team members
Preferred Advanced Skills 
Depending on experience, technicians may work with or develop skills in:
  • Robotic work cells and automated production equipment
  • Electrical systems including 120V–480V circuits, motors, and controls
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems such as pumps, valves, actuators, and compressors
  • Fabrication skills including welding, cutting, and basic machining
  • Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
  • Using computer systems for diagnostics, CMMS, and maintenance record-keeping
  • Applying strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
  • Working independently while contributing effectively in a team-based environment
Minimum Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing maintenance or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate degree in equipment maintenance, industrial technology, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in industrial maintenance or related mechanical trades
