QA Automation / Application Tester || Hartford, CT || Remote || Contract

We are looking for an experienced Application Tester / QA Automation Engineer to support testing for a large integrated information-sharing system.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform system, UAT, functional, and integration testing.
  • Create test cases, test scenarios, and test result reports.
  • Test APIs/web services using Postman and SoapUI.
  • Validate backend data using SQL Server and complex SQL queries.
  • Test XML-based data and integrations.
  • Identify, document, and track defects.
  • Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test suites.
  • Integrate automation testing with DevOps/GitHub.
  • Develop automation scripts using C# or Java.
  • Prepare test reports and communicate results to project stakeholders.

Required Skills:

  • 5–7 years of software testing experience.
  • Strong manual and automation testing experience.
  • Experience with Postman/SoapUI, SQL Server, XML, C# or Java.
  • Experience with automation frameworks and data-driven testing.
  • Knowledge of GitHub/DevOps and automation reporting tools such as Extent Reports.
  • Experience with NIEM XML or another complex XML standard is highly preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and analytical skills.

Preferred: Experience with SOA technologies, IBM Rational Jazz, and large integrated systems.
