To thrive as an Automation Quality Assurance Engineer, you need a strong background in software testing, programming (often in languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript), and knowledge of QA methodologies, typically backed by a degree in computer science or a related field. Familiarity with automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, or Jenkins, as well as relevant certifications like ISTQB, is highly valuable.
