Job description

An innovative product development and engineering consulting firm is seeking a Technical Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of complex product development programs for clients across robotics, medical devices, industrial automation, and advanced technology industries.
This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams, helping bring cutting-edge products from concept through commercialization. You'll serve as the primary point of contact for clients while coordinating engineering, industrial design, quality, manufacturing, and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and at the highest level of quality.

Required Skills & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or another technical discipline.
  • 3+ years of Project Management, Technical Program Management, or Engineering Leadership experience.
  • 4+ years working on multidisciplinary product development teams.
  • Strong understanding of the complete product development lifecycle, from concept through manufacturing and commercialization.
  • Experience managing cross-functional engineering teams including:
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Embedded Software
    • Industrial Design
    • Quality
    • Manufacturing
  • Experience managing project schedules, budgets, timelines, risks, and deliverables.
  • Excellent client-facing communication and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to understand technical challenges and communicate effectively with both engineering teams and executive stakeholders.
  • Experience leading multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, or similar platforms.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 25%.

  • Experience identifying new business opportunities within existing client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of Agile, Stage-Gate, or hybrid product development methodologies.

  • Identify project risks and proactively develop mitigation strategies.

  • Support proposal development and project planning for new client opportunities.
