Job description

Summary:ย 

This role will plan, specify, purchase, and build Automated/Electrical systems (hardware and software) and their components to support the production processes and machinery in the facility. The ACE role will also be responsible for project management, technical specifications, design, analysis, installation management, equipment start-up, and production aspects.

Responsibilities:

  • Develops preliminary designs and help establish functional requirements for new devices and systems.ย 
  • Creates estimates and budgets, ensure part and system procurement, oversee the fabrication of electrical equipment, manage vendors and contractors, deliver complete and up-to-date technical documentation.
  • Coordinates installation and startup of projects ranging from minor adjustments to existing machinery to significant expansion projects.ย 
  • Interacts with the operators and maintenance staff and learning every aspect of the procedure by hands-on use of the machinery & procedures.ย 
  • Provide technical support for issue solving and analysis as well as technical experience for the upkeep, modification, and installation of machinery & equipment used in the production process.ย 
  • Involved in all project management activities, such as financial justification, design, vendors/procurement, installation, start-up, qualification, machine acceptance, training for operations & maintenance.ย 
  • Travel as required.ย 
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineeringย 
  • 3 years of industrial electrical design experience in manufacturingย 
  • Experience with electrical design standards and able to complete controls systems designs using standard CAD design tools and SEE electric experience Preferred.ย 
  • Experience with Rockwell PLC programming standards & programming software, including GRAFCET, Ladder Logic, and Structured Text. Specific experience with Siemens is a plus.ย 
  • Experience with Variable Frequency drives and Motion Control technologies. Specific experience with Control Techniques, SEW MOVIMOT, and Rockwell, is a plus.ย 
  • Experience with HMI PanelView Knowledge of FactoryTalkView ME Studio would be very helpful.ย 
  • Specific experience with Rockwell is a plus.
  • Experience programming and interfacing PLCs with industrial 6 axis robots such as Fanuc, Kawasaki, ABB etc.ย 
  • Working knowledge of CAD systemsย 
  • The ability to work effectively in a cross functional group setting, including essential technical guidance to support Senior Managementย 
  • The ability to work independently, and to lead, coach and mentor others
