Centor in Millersburg, Ohio is hiring Automation Maintenance Technicians for our night shift 7pm-7am. Our 2-2-3 schedule means you'll work just 15โ€“16 days each month and enjoy paid breaks. POSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Expeditor, the Automation Maintenance Worker is responsible for troubleshooting and repair of automated production equipment (including but not limited to: butyrate delivery systems, load cells, bagging machines, carton erectors, bag inserters, carton decuffer/closing machines, and stretch wrapping units). Needs to have an understanding of plant production equipment (including but not limited to: injection and stretch blow molding machines, auxiliary equipment, UV printers, and assembly machines), as well as Plant systems (chilled water systems, dehumidification systems, vacuum material delivery systems, etc.). Assist with inventory control of automation related spare parts. Perform machinery and systems repairs using electrical and hydraulic blueprints, as well as completing equipment PMโ€™s, and other duties as assigned.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Performs all tasks necessary to operate equipment according to procedure.
  • Actively participates in daily team meetings โ€“ communicates key items within the plant environment on safety, quality, maintenance, production and continuous improvement.
  • Follows work instructions as needed and may be asked to write, revise and train others to those instructions.
  • Must be able to work from design sketches, drawings and verbal instructions.
  • Provide input for modifications/new designs for continuous improvement.
  • Performs root cause analysis when problems arise to determine if actions can be taken immediately or appropriate personnel need to be called.
  • Maintains 5S environment in work area.
  • Ability to follow verbal or written instructions.
  • Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.
  • Adheres to plant and corporate safety policies.
  • May assist in other areas or perform other duties as required by fluctuating business needs
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
  • Possesses well-developed communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read prints, understand and troubleshoot Plant production equipment.
  • Maintains positive team environment. Ability to read, write and follow written or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English.
  • Possesses good math skills.
  • Understand function of various plant systems.
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision
