Job Description

Our Internship program offers a challenging hands-on structured experience focused on process improvement, automation, and digital innovation. The internship will also include various trainings and a personnel development program. 

You will work side-by-side with Expeditors employees to identify operational challenges, streamline workflows, and develop solutions that improve efficiency and visibility across departments. Projects may include developing Excel-based solutions such as macros, creating Power Automate workflows, leveraging AI, building dashboards, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across multiple departments. 

We offer flexibility to work with you around your current class schedule as much as possible. We do, however, prefer a commitment of no less than 20 hours per week. 

Our goal is to prepare you to transition into a full time role after graduating!

Requirements:

  • Working toward a college degree with an anticipated graduation date within the next two years
  • Strong work ethic with a reliable and professional attitude
  • Sense of urgency, adaptability, and self-motivation
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Interest in process improvement, business operations, data analytics, or automation
  • Willingness to learn new technologies and continuously improve existing processes
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
  • Exposure to data analysis, business analytics, or process improvement coursework is a plus
  • Familiarity with Macros, Power Query, Power Automate, Power BI, AI or similar tools is preferred
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to document and communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Commitment to understanding and following company policies and controls
  • Strong work ethic with a proactive approach to learning and problem solving
