Job description

Emerge is currently recruiting qualified candidates for a direct hire Maintenance Manager job in Winsted, CT for our client, a growing manufacturer of quality machined products for the aerospace and industrial sector. The Facilities Engineer is responsible for plant equipment and building maintenance as well as project planning and implementation, plant equipment layouts, and troubleshooting equipment problems for assigned plants within one or more facilities. Reporting directly to the Maintenance and Facilities Manager, this role assists in planning and oversight of the Maintenance Team.
Our client offers a base salary of $130,000-$140,000 per year plus a 10% bonus and exceptional benefits that start on day one!

Responsibilities for the Maintenance Manager job in Winsted, CT include:
  • Facility & Equipment Management. Direct the operation of physical facility functions, including equipment installations, plant layouts, and service functions. oversee outside contractors and ensure the maintenance of all facilities and equipment.
  • Design, plan, and facilitate capital projects. Determine the feasibility of new equipment or facility modifications by analyzing costs, available space, and technical requirements.
  • Provide leadership to the maintenance team by developing, training, and motivating staff. Assign workflows, enforce safety regulations, and assist in resolving complex work problems.
  • Analyze engineering proposals and process requirements. Provide technical data regarding manufacturing techniques, materials, and process limitations to support long-range planning.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, perform cost estimating, and test newly installed machinery to ensure it meets contract specifications.
  • Drive continuous improvement, advocating for safety, ergonomics, and automation to help the organization work smarter.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a related Engineering field is strongly preferred. Candidates without a bachelor's degree will be considered based on experience.
  • Five (5) or more years of relevant maintenance engineering supervisory/management experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
  • This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status; ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire; visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
