Company Description

Sierra Controls, LLC is a Process Control and SCADA Integrator specializing in water measurement and control systems for public works, utilities, agriculture, hydroelectric, private industry, and government organizations. Sierra Controls provides master planning, engineering, programming, manufacturing, installation, and service for SCADA, telemetry, instrumentation, automation, and controls. Our customers are mostly located in Northern Nevada, East and West slopes of the Sierra Mountains, and Central California areas.

General Information

Sierra Controls is actively looking for a project engineer to work from our Reno, Nevada location to service our Nevada and Central California markets. The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering and an interest in pursuing a career in Control Systems Design or Automation.

Essential Job Functions:Project Engineering
  • Drafting of Electrical Schematics and Industrial Control Panel Layout utilizing SkyCAD
  • Master Plan Development
  • Operations and Maintenance Manual Writing
  • Control System Survey and Documentation
  • Assemble Submittals for Projects per Project Specifications
  • Complete Process Control and Instrumentation System Documentation
Project Management
  • Coordinate with Project Manager and Procurement to ensure materials for projects are ordered, received, and kitted appropriately.
  • Assist Project Manager with project tasks related to scheduling, budget, or scope.
  • Prepare training documentation per project requirement.
Additional
  • Assist Senior Engineering staff with various project requirements.
Education and Experience
  1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
  2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Any combination of education and experience meeting the minimum requirements will be considered.
