Job Summary:
As a Factory Automation (FA) Engineer, you will support the design, integration, and optimization of automated equipment and robotic systems within the manufacturing process. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to enhance productivity, reliability, and efficiency through automation technology.
Responsibilities:
  • Support equipment automation and robot integration across production lines.
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal teams to install, test, and validate automation equipment and systems.
  • Assist with meetings and coordination with vendors and system integrators to align on technical requirements.
  • Support automation project schedules and equipment installation activities in line with company procedures and standards.
  • Perform troubleshooting and preventive maintenance for automated systems to support stable operations.
  • Maintain and update system documentation, including ladder logic, schematics, and sequence diagrams.
  • Support optimization of automation parameters for safety, cycle time, and reliability.
  • Collaborate with Production, Process Technology, Quality, and Equipment Engineering teams to improve process quality and automation efficiency.
  • Participate in line commissioning, equipment upgrades, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety at the worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standards: 5S: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain; 3R: Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
  • Ensure compliance with LGES safety, environmental, and equipment standards.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Robotics Engineering, preferred
  • Minimum of 1 year in Factory Automation experience in production/plant environment.
  • Familiarity with PLCs (Allen-Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens) or robot programming (Fanuc, Nachi, ABB) a plus
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and teamwork skills
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced production environment

Skills:
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing automation and control systems
  • Robot operation and calibration
  • CAD tools for design and simulation
  • MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
