Job description

Overview

We're looking for an Electrical Engineer who thrives in automation, controls design, and problem-solving. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys taking projects from concept through completion and wants to work on custom automation solutions in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do
  • Design electrical and control systems for automation projects using AutoCAD Electrical and/or SolidWorks Electrical
  • Create schematics, panel layouts, IO lists, and cable schedules
  • Develop BOMs, drawings, and complete design packages for release
  • Select and specify hardware and components for automated systems
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineers, project managers, and manufacturing teams
  • Support builds, troubleshooting, and commissioning as needed
  • Help develop and maintain standard components and CAD libraries
  • Contribute to improving design efficiency, accuracy, and overall system performance
What You Bring

Required:

  • 4-year degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) 
  • 3–5+ years of experience in electrical design for industrial automation or controls
  • Experience designing electrical schematics for PLC-based systems
  • Experience with industrial control panel design
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Electrical and/or SolidWorks Electrical
  • Working knowledge of NEC, NFPA, or UL508A standards

Preferred:

  • Experience with system integration, robotics, or automated equipment
  • Knowledge of industrial networks (Ethernet/IP, PROFINET, etc.)
  • Experience supporting projects from concept through completion
