Overview
This position exists to drive the successful execution and financial health of highly complex building automation projects from inception to completion. By taking ownership of project financials, resource forecasting, and risk mitigation, this role directly impacts the organization's profitability and its ability to deliver sophisticated automation solutions that consistently exceed client expectations.


Summary
We are seeking a highly organized Project Manager to lead a dedicated team of engineers within the building automation space. The primary focus of this role involves balancing project finances, enforcing engineering standards, and serving as the primary commercial point of contact for clients. The ideal candidate is an analytical and communicative leader who thrives in managing concurrent technical projects, driving quality control, and negotiating client agreements.


Responsibilities
Manage large-scale and multiple concurrent building automation projects from initial scope through final delivery.


Take full accountability for project margins, driving initiatives to optimize financial health, cost projections, cash flow reporting, and monthly job invoicing.


Establish and carefully monitor project schedules to ensure on-time completion and operational excellence.


Forecast resource requirements accurately and present comprehensive scope, schedule, and resource plans to group leadership.


Identify, monitor, and systematically mitigate potential project risks while recommending and implementing corrective actions for any deviations.


Draft, quantify, and execute necessary project change orders.


Serve as the primary commercial and customer-facing contact, confidently negotiating Terms & Conditions and ensuring optimal client satisfaction.


Provide technical guidance to engineering teams, enforcing strict adherence to engineering standards and quality plans throughout the project lifecycle.


Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal project management tools and actively participate in the Quality Management System (QMS).


Qualifications
Education: Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).


Years of Experience: 3–5 years of proven project leadership experience, functioning as a Project Manager or Technical Lead.


Industry Experience: Strong foundational understanding of HVAC systems within large-scale building automation, including a basic grasp of sequence of operations, P&IDs for plant utilities, instrumentation, and control valves.


Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Project and MS Office Suite (Word, Excel). Experience with building automation or industrial controls (Rockwell, Schneider, AVEVA, Inductive Automation) is highly preferred.


Additional Experience: Previous onsite commissioning experience is a strong plus.


Leadership Skills: Proven track record of organizing, scheduling, and leading highly effective meetings with internal engineering teams and external customers.
