Job description

Automation Engineer
The Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced automation engineer for the management of system infrastructure and applications. As an automation engineer at Booz Allen, you can use your te chn ical skills to affect mission-forward change.
You'll work with a cross-functional team to develop and implement automation solutions, maintain, and improve our CI/CD pipelines, and work closely with our development and operations teams to ensure the smooth deployment and management of our infrastructure and applications. Additionally, you'll continue to strengthen your DevSecOps skills while supporting the sustainment and development of critical naval platforms.

You Have:
  • 6+ years of experience supporting DoD or government agencies
  • 3+ years of experience with troubleshooting, triaging, or resolving issues related to automation using Ansible or PowerShell
  • 3+ years of experience of automation tools, including Ansible, v ersion control systems, including Git, o perating systems, including RHEL and Windows, and v irtualization, including VMware
  • Experience with Ansible and Ansible Automation Platform in a production environment and developing reusable Ansible roles or collections
  • Experience automating across multiple platforms including Linux, Windows, or VMware
  • Experience with Git-based workflows including version control, branching, or CI/CD integration
  • Experience operating as a senior engineer or technical lead in an enterprise environment
  • Ability to design modular, scalable, and maintainable automation solutions and develop tools and processes to drive DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments
  • Secret clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field

Nice If You Have:
  • Experience with designing and implementing robust, scalable, and efficient CI / CD pipelines
  • Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code ( IaC ) across enterprise environments
  • Experience with application containerization
  • Experience with modeling network configuration in JSON and YAML
  • Experience with network automation in Python and Ansible
  • Knowledge of Agile development
  • Knowledge of networking principles and concepts
  • Knowledge of API design and object-oriented principles
  • TS/SCI clearance
  • Master's degree in a STEM field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $86,900.00 to $198,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
