Position Summary

As an Automation Engineer, you will build user-facing web applications while implementing and maintaining warehouse automation job. You will work within a fast-paced manufacturing small team environment, supporting both internal and external department customers.

Role and Responsibilities

Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:

• Front-EndDevelopment:Design,build,andmaintainuser-facingfeaturesusingmodernframeworkslikeVue.

• Automation:robotics,conveyors,andsoftware-tooptimizestorage,picking,packing,shippingoperations,autonomousrobotics,IoT,andhumandatainput.

• PerformanceOptimization:Maximizeapplicationspeedandscalability,optimizingforfastloadtimes.

• UI/UXImplementation:Translatedesignwireframesintohigh-qualitycode,ensuringtechnicalfeasibilityanddesignconsistency.

• Debugging&Maintenance:Debugcross-browsercompatibilityissuesandtroubleshootUIbugs.

• Collaboration:Workwithbackenddevelopers,UI/UXdesigners,andstakeholderstointegrateAPIsandensureseamlessfunctionality.

• SystemIntegration:Bridgingthegapbetweensoftware(code/scripts)andphysicalhardware.

• FactoryImplementation:Leadingon-sitehardwareinstallation,commissioning,andvalidation.

• SafetySystems:Implementingsafety-ratedhardwareinaccordancewithindustrialstandards.

Skills and Qualifications

Here's what you'll need:

• Bachelor'sdegreeinElectricalEngineering,MechatronicsEngineeringorequivalentexperience.
• Provenexperienceinfrontenddevelopment,withafocusonautomation,2-5+years.
• Languages:FamiliarandexperiencedinIoTdeploymentandmanagementtoolssuchasPython,JavaScript,SQLarerequired
• Kafka,Kubernetes,Docker,Airtable,andGraphana.Rust,HTML,CSS,Postgresprogrammingarenotrequiredbutpreferred.
• Frameworks/Libraries:ExperiencewithVue.js.
• Tools:Versioncontrol(Git),buildtools(Webpack,Vite),andbrowserdevelopertools.
• Principles:Knowledgeofresponsivedesign,webaccessibility(WCAG),andRESTfulAPIs.
• Hardware:Knowledgeandexperiencedinindustrialcontrolsystems,sensorsandactuators,roboticsandmotioncontrol,electricaldesignandtroubleshooting,fielddeviceintegration.
• ExcellentProjectManagementSkills
• Abilitytocommunicateeffectivelyacrossmultipledepartmentsandlevelswithinandoutsidethecompany.
• Strongdataanalyticsmathematically,computationally,andtheabilitytoprogramscalabledynamicsystemstoreactanddistributeinformationtohumanandsystemstakeholders.
• Semiconductor,Manufacturing,SupplyChainexperienceisaplus.
• MachinevisionwithMLworkflowsexperienceisaplus.
• BasicunderstandingofSQLandrelationaldatabases(Postgres,MongoDB,Cassandrapreferred).

The current base salary range for this role is between $70,480 - $150,760. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
