Job Description Summary
The Press Technician is responsible for keeping the line up and running and troubleshooting quality, providing maintenance to the presses and identifying and correcting the issues with the conveyors.
Job Description:
Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
-Operate automatic presses that forge steel.
-Performs quality inspection of manufactured parts.
- Using hand tools and pneumatic tools for machine operation and maintenance tasks.
- Changing and adjusting tools within the machine for quality improvements or production changeovers.
-Maintain accurate inventories regarding quantities, weights, and locations.
-Maintain and manage materials on the shop floor.
-Completing machine maintenance to reduce downtime and ensure manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness.
-Support production in the North Plant.
-Create shipment paperwork.
-Ability to scrap non-conforming product per quality direction
-Aid production to ensure minimal downtime
-Reading and interpreting blueprints to understand part specifications and adjusting machine setup as necessary.
-Occasionally operating an overhead crane for heavy tooling changeover.
-Completing additional tasks as required to support manufacturing operations.
Required Skills and Education
Internal candidates must be a level 3 GP to promote.
