Required to pass pre-employment drug screen and any random DOT screens post-hiring. A Class “A” CDL is preferred, but not required. • Locates gas lines, installs pipes to house and meters, and perform testing to ensure system integrity and safety.

  • Read residential and commercial gas meters accurately and efficiently in accordance with established schedules.
  • Verify meter readings, review unusual consumption patterns, and report meter irregularities, damaged meters, or potential safety concerns.
  • Assist with meter installations, meter exchanges, and meter maintenance activities.
  • Support the Company's implementation and transition to Automated Meter Reading (AMR) technology, including AMR device installations, inspections, troubleshooting, testing, and data collection activities.
  • Completes maintenance records, service reports, and other required documents.
  • Performs general manual labor tasks such as using hand tools, digging with a shovel or spade, uses power tools as assigned; installs new taps and related facilities and clears leaks on existing facilities.
  • Lifts and carries equipment and tools. Works around power equipment (back hoes).

  • Wears approved clothing (uniform), including mandatory use of all personal protective equipment (PPE), e.g., hardhat, safety vest, ear plugs, safety glasses/face mask, gloves, etc., and flameretardant coveralls, harness and a rope whenever the job requires it.
  • Regularly cleans, maintains and accounts for all equipment in good repair.
  • Removes debris, garbage, and dangerous materials from sites promptly.
  • Cleans up after self and presents a positive, professional image of the company.
  • Requires some overtime work. Monthly “on call” duty is required.
  • COME GROW WITH US!
